I’ll be sharing  my favorite wardrobe rehabs in a new sewing class starting Saturday at the Scrap Exchange Creative Reuse Center in Durham.

Sew it–Wear it–Love it! will cover common clothing upgrades like flattering hems, seams, and darts.  Plus:

Solutions for waistbands that gap, give and slide–

Reshaping baggy shirts and jackets–

Replacing ugly necklines–

And my favorite transformation, upgrading a unisex tee.  Check out the before and after photos below.

Also in the course, an introduction to using and restyling commercial sewing patterns so you end up with clothes you LOVE to wear, like my new breezy summer top–rehabsailor

I ditched the zipper, added front bands, buttons, and a sailor collar.  No back of the closet for this piece–it’s my new fav!

And BTW, the two fabrics in my blouse came from the Scrap. Creative reuse is so much fun!
